Rough InspectionFollow your checklist of inspections. When all the carpentry work is complete, the air conditioning and heating work is done, the plumbing rough is done, and the electrical and utility wiring is finished, call for a final rough inspection. You will know from your checklist when to call for each inspection. Do not put off this step. It is much better to call for an inspection early than late. That is, if the work is done, but you know there is something that is not just right, it is better to have an inspection not pass than to wait until you think everything is perfect. In requesting a rough inspection, you will be asking for a list of what is not correct. This can be used as a checklist to make everything correct. This inspection will need to be complete before insulation can be installed. It is also time to call for delivery of drywall. It can be loaded on the job so as to not be in the way of the inspectors.
