With a critical eye, look for any details which seems incorrect, unfinished or missing. Make a list room by room.

Then contact the appropriate contractor to have the item repaired, replaced, or improved. Someone other than you should make this list, too. Real estate agents seem to be able to find fault with anything. Ask your agent to take a walk through before listing it.
