You have to go to see work that this installer has done in the past and what they are doing at this time.Next, you have to make sure the sub floor on which the tile will be laid is crack free. This is very important. There are products which can be put down to mitigate the problems which result from cracks, but they are a poor fix. If you have a floor that is severely cracked, or even cracked in several places, then vinyl is the correct floor covering over ceramic.There are vinyl tiles produced that really look good. Visit a home improvement store to see what's available. Many that are textured have a great look.Avoid tile counter tops. If you encounter a kitchen or vanity top that is covered with tile, prepare to remove it and replace it. Nothing can make a ceramic tile counter top look good.
