Sky Lights

If you have to replace the roof, rip out the sky lights and have them filled in. They are a source of noise during a rain storm. They are a source of heat when the sun is overhead. They are a source for leaks during rain events.

Skylights are a great feature for a designer to discuss but never a good feature for an installer.

So my opinion on skylights is to rip them out and fill them in. And never consider adding a sky light to any room in the house, ever. Fortunately this is your flip and you can make your own decision on this item. Just don't expect me to think they are a good thing.

Every house can not be flipped by every person for a profit every time.
